With your help, DVPI is able to continue the safety net of services offered to our clients. Providing access to necessities is critical to the healing process, offering clients the hope of creating a better life to become independent of an abusive situation.

 

The best way to help:

Domestic Violence Project, Inc. (DVPI) welcomes all donations (food, clothing, personal care products, etc.) but asks you to consider making a financial contribution that can go even further to help our clients.  A financial contribution to DVPI will help:

  • Provide free housing

  • Stop the cycle of domestic violence 

  • Help families with the maze of legal issues that arise due to domestic violence 

  • End violence against women

  • Ensure that every person enjoys safety and liberty from domestic abuse

 

Donation Opportunities

Project North Pole gears up every October to provide clients of both our shelters and our Renew Counseling Center with gifts for their families during the holiday. We would like to hear from you if you would like to provide for a family or single person.  Please call or email.

Cash gifts - include cash, check, credit card, and electronic funds transfers.  Did you know you can set up your credit card or checking account to be debited on a regular schedule of your choice making it as easy as possible for you to give to you’re your favorite charity? 

Stock/Security gifts - Gifts of long-term appreciated stock or mutual funds offer a quick, easy, and tax-efficient way to support DVPI avoid capital gains tax as well as receive an income tax deduction for the appreciated value.

 

Planned Giving / Endowments – Gifts that keep on giving. Many people regularly volunteer and/or give financial assistance to their favorite non-profit organizations... but when they're gone, their support is greatly missed. By leaving a gift of any size in your will, or a gift from your estate, you can continue to help organizations that are making an important difference in the community.  Please talk with your attorney and our development staff if you are interested in a gift that keeps on giving!

 

Honorarium/Memorial Gifts – A great way to honor or remember a special person in your life.

 

Gifts of Real Estate - We will accept many types of real estate gifts. These gifts allow you to avoid capital gains tax and receive an income tax deduction. Gifts of real estate are donated to DVPI with your understanding that it will be sold and the proceeds will be used to support our mission, unless it meets a specific need.  We reserve the right to refuse property if it isn't the agency's best interest.
